These pieces use three exclusive yarns developed in collaboration with Nibthwaite Grange Farm, just 10 miles down the road from our knitwear studio. We used their fleeces alongside another very local farmer just outside of Ulverston.
We have brought together their local fleeces and spun three undyed yarns in a mill over in Yorkshire. The Ecru is a blend of Teesewater and Blue Faced Leicester, the Soft Brown an unusual blend of rare breed sheep Castlemilk Moorit and Blue Faced Leicester, and the Slate Grey is a blend of Hebridean and Blue Faced Leicester. These are all beautifully soft wools, and we have designed two understated pieces to show off the natural beauty of the wools themselves. All these pieces as the rest of our knitwear are made in our studio in Ulverston.
We are proud to be creating our clothing using these regional fibres.
