Hours – 8hrs/week - flexible.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our knitwear company, as we embark on a new stage of our journey. We have recently invested in new innovative knitting machinery and created a beautiful studio space to enable us to produce our high-quality knitwear in our hometown of Ulverston in Cumbria.
OUBAS celebrates true craftsmanship and a slower paced approach to fashion. We are proud to be part of the British textile industry and it's creative communities. We use 100% natural fibres in our knitwear and source these from leading spinners and mills. We have been developing the label since 2012 and have a loyal community.
We are now looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, who can help us hand finish our pieces, make sure everything runs smoothly, and ensure that we are looking after our community. You will work closely with founder Kate and will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business. This can include hand finishing our pieces, labelling and packing orders, website admin, social media as well as creative writing, helping us produce our photoshoots, content creation, creating pop-up events and workshops, helping to organise our day-to-day.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about ethical and sustainable clothing and would be proud to be an intrinsic part of our team. This role will increase over the next 6-12 months so consider this when applying.
If you have any questions at all regarding the role, please email us on the below address and we will get back to you ASAP.
To apply: send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you’d love to work with us to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a permanent role, with a trial period.
Closing date is Midnight on Friday 23rd April.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 5th May in Ulverston, Cumbria.
