Naturally Dyed Cashmere Scarf in Henna Rose
A delicate pointelle lace that we have designed for this Spring + Summer. A feminine stitch, in a simple square scarf, that can be worn as a neck tie as shown.
This is a high quality cashmere yarn, spun in Italy by one of the world's leading cashmere mills. It has been dyed using the plant henna, using ancient recipes passed down through generations. The beauty of nature is respected by the mill, and through advanced method, the extraction of colour is achieved, creating a yarn without the use of chemical substances.
The Henna root is harvested in the Autumn time, and is what creates the pigment. The soil where the plants grow have an effect on the shades of colour. The red of the madder plant was the most common colour used in the ancient European civilisations.
